Crown Boiler Expands Training Into Canada
Over the last heating season, Crown Boiler expanded its training program into Canada thanks to the help of Air-Heat Supplies and Wesmech Technical. Prior to the CMX Show in Toronto, Crown Boiler held a training session at Air-Heat Supplies’ state of the art “Home Comfort Training Center” in Mississauga, Ontario. Bill Genes of Crown Boiler reviewed combustion air requirements, vent categories, venting designs, and pump and pipe sizing guidelines with contractors from the area. Aruba 4 AWR Handling Instructions
The new Aruba 4 AWR boiler from Crown Boiler features a rear draft diverter, part of which extends from the rear of the boiler. We put together a short video with our recommendation on how to properly handle the AWR boiler with an appliance dolly. As with any installation, care should be taken to avoid injury.
Crown Displays New Aruba 4 Boiler at AHR Expo
This year at AHR Expo in Chicago, Crown Boiler introduced the Aruba 4 gas-fired hot water boiler in a completely redesigned booth. The Aruba 4 (AWR) is designed for use with residential and small commercial applications with an approved chimney. The AWR has an Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) that varies from 82.8% to 83.3% and the cast iron heat exchanger comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
The AWR is available in eight different sizes, ranging from 38,000 to 280,000 BTU of input and features a number of upgrades from it’s predecessor, the Aruba 3. The Aruba 3 came in three different models, depending on the piping configuration needed. The AWR now comes in one model, standard with piping on the right side of the boiler. However, it is easily field convertible to left side piping if the installation calls for it. The Aruba 4 also has a redesigned heat exchanger with double tapped end sections which allows for one model to be piped on either the left or right side. Read more…
Crown Boiler University Adds Bimini Buddy Course
Crown Boiler Co. is proud to announce the addition of the Bimini Buddy Basics course to their online learning center, Crown Boiler University. The course will join the Bimini Boiler Annual Inspection and Service course and bolster the training options offered in the Bimini Boiler Training section of Crown Boiler University.
This introductory course covers the fundamentals of the Bimini Buddy hydraulic separator, which is designed to simplify the installation process of the Bimini boiler. In the Bimini Buddy Basics course, students will learn what hydraulic separation is, the benefits of the Bimini Buddy and what differentiates each Bimini Buddy model. It is free to enroll in the Bimini Buddy Basics course through Crown Boiler University, and enables contractors to earn CEU’s towards their NATE and NORA recertification at their own pace. Read more…

The 2011 Energy Expo is being held at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
